Excellent deal for this price, I didn't know it could be this much fun. so far the game looks great. According to the box, there are a total of 40 songs in the game, the game description on amazon doesn't state that.
You get a good game and a wireless guitar for under [.]. Not a huge Aerosmith fan, but I like them enough to enjoy the game, and rock out on some good old tunes. I enjoyed this game very much. and to me that's a good deal. My 9 year old son even liked the music enough to finish the game in co-op mode. All in all a great purchase. They did a good job with the song selections from both Aerosmith and the opening bands. Hope others enjoyed it as much as I did.
This is the best way to get a wireless guitar and a game. The price was the cheapest and it is a good choice for someone just getting in the series (like me). If you like, buy the other older games (just the games) cheap. If not you're not out a whole lot of money.
From some of the other reviews that said only Aerosmith fans should buy this game, I was expecting the entire game to be nothing but Aerosmith songs. The only problem I have is that on the Aerosmith songs, the design of the screen changes a bit and I found it difficult to see (it makes things look 'busy'). I was pleasantly surprised to find that the game is like the others, many different songs for each level. At the end, the final act is a song by Aerosmith. One great thing is the design of the guitar. It really stands apart from the regular white guitars.
It is simply more activision shovelware, in my opinion at least. This version of guitar hero (one of many in a seemingly infinite library) is mediocre in every way imaginable. It does not utterly fail, but it does not pull me in either. Walk this way (RUN DMC version) and Sweet Emotion are good, but that's about it. Easy achievements and two stand out songs do not equal a good value.
